When summer ends and fall slowly reminds you of all the jobs waiting around the house, being a disabled girl turns into a war between “I should do this or that” and “f*ck no, I’m in too much pain.”
But today, for some reason I can’t explain, my mind decided:
“You started with one thing? Let’s just ✅ check off everything else on the to-do list now, shall we?”
Let me tell you — my body hates my mind in those moments.
Body: “Hey girl! Please take a break! Or continue another day, PLEASE!!”
Mind: “Hell no! If I sit down for more than 5 minutes, I’ll never start again, so let’s keep going!”
Body: “Best I can do is 10 minutes standing, 5 minutes sitting…”
Mind: “Sure! (Pfft… that gullible body really thinks I’ll respect that?!)”
Body: “Lol, as if the mind’s really in control 😆”
So I ended up mowing the lawn with my tractor, winterizing the tractor, the ATV, and my trailer, draining, cleaning, and refilling my hot tub with fresh water, and cleaning the inside of my car.
Yes, I took like 50 breaks, but at least those things are DONE!
I may be disabled, but I’m stubborn as hell!
Now my inner battery is completely empty — and I’m pretty sure my body’s gonna laugh at my mind for the next couple of days 😅
P.S.: Silly faces are mandatory when you go overboard like this! 😆
